Update (Tuesday, August 5)

Overnight, crews completed milling, paving and the application of temporary pavement markings along N. Andrews Avenue between Broward Boulevard and NW/NE 1st Street. Crews will return to the area in approximately 30 days to apply final pavement markings. Additional information will be shared once that work is scheduled. We thank our neighbors for their patience during construction.

Original Notice (Wednesday, July 30)

This work was originally scheduled to take place overnight on Wednesday, July 30 and Thursday, July 31. It has been rescheduled for Monday, August 4 and Tuesday, August 5. The information below and linked project flyer have been updated to reflect the new schedule. 

The City of Fort Lauderdale is working with FG Construction to resurface the road and apply new pavement markings along N. Andrews Avenue from W./E. Broward Boulevard to NW/NE 1st Street in Flagler Village.

Construction will begin on Monday, August 4, 2025, and is expected to be completed by Wednesday, August 6, 2025. Work will take place overnight between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

• N. Andrews Avenue from W./E. Broward Boulevard to NW/NE 1st Street will be closed overnight on Monday, August 4 and Tuesday, August 5, between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
• Southbound traffic on N. Andrews Avenue will be detoured to NW 1st Avenue.
• Northbound traffic on S. Andrews Avenue will be detoured to NE 3rd Avenue.
• Sidewalks in the area will remain open for pedestrian access.
• Please follow posted signs and drive with caution in the area.
