The City of Fort Lauderdale is implementing traffic calming improvements on NE 16th Court between NE 5th Terrace and Old Dixie Highway. Improvements will include, but are not limited to:

• Installation of a median west of NE 7th Ave
• Construction of a semi-roundabout at NE 9th Ave
• Milling and resurfacing
• Concrete curb
• Sod installation
• New pavement markings

Construction will begin on Monday, August 4, 2025, and is expected to be completed by early October. Work will take place Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Traffic impacts:

• Intermittent lane closures will take place within the project area during construction.
• Access to residences and businesses will be maintained at all times.
• Please follow posted signs and drive with caution in the area.
