Construction Update (November 4, 2025)

Traffic Impacts: November 12-14, 2025

• The roundabout at the intersection of SE 25th Avenue / Marietta Drive and SE 19th Place / Barbara Drive will be closed daily between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Wednesday, November 12 through Friday, November 14 for asphalt restoration.
• Traffic will be detoured to S. Ocean Drive and SE 23rd Avenue.
• Please follow posted signs and use caution in the area.

Since construction began in September 2025, crews have installed temporary water mains along SE 25th Avenue in preparation for the installation of the new 8-inch water main that is being installed during the week of November 3, 2025. Neighbors will be notified of any potential temporary service interruptions when water service transitions to the new water main. Construction is expected to be completed in late 2025. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Original Notice (September 15, 2025)

The City of Fort Lauderdale is working with Murphy Pipeline Contractors to make improvements to the water distribution system along SE 25th Avenue between the SE 17th Street ramp and SE 19th Place / Barbara Drive in Harbour Inlet. This project includes:

• Installing a new 8-inch water main along the east side of SE 25th Avenue to replace an existing 6-inch water main
• Connecting the new 8-inch water main along the east side of SE 25th Avenue to an existing 8-inch water main along the west side of SE 25th Avenue
• Installing a new fire hydrant
• Restoring the area as needed

Construction will begin on Monday, September 22, 2025, and is expected to be completed in late 2025. Work will take place weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Neighbors will be notified of any potential temporary service interruptions when the final connections are made toward the end of the project. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances

Traffic Impacts

• One lane in each direction of SE 25th Avenue may be closed throughout construction.
• Traffic control personnel will direct traffic as needed.
• Access to driveways will be maintained.
• Please follow posted signs and drive with caution in the area
