Asphalt restoration has been completed and the intersection at Cordova Road and SE 15th Street is now open. This is the final update on this situation. We appreciate the patience of our neighbors throughout this emergency response.

The intersection of Cordova Road and SE 15th Street is once again closed. Asphalt restoration is underway and is expected to be completed by this evening.
Update: Friday, December 5 at 9:30 p.m.
The repair has been completed. Crews are restoring the area and expect to reopen the intersection by midnight.
Final asphalt restoration is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. on Saturday, December 6 and is expected be completed within one day. The intersection will once again be closed while this work is underway.

A precautionary waterway advisory has been issued for the Seminole River Canal and a portion of the Intracoastal Waterway.

City crews are responding to a break in a 16-inch sewer force main at Cordova Road & SE 15th Street in Harbordale.
While repairs are underway the following road closures are in effect:
- The intersection of Cordova Road and SE 15th Street is closed.
- Eastbound SE 15th Street is open to local traffic only from SE 10th Avenue to Cordova Road.
- Cordova Road is open to local traffic only between SE 15th Street and SE 16th Street.
Traffic is being detoured to US 1 / Federal Highway, SE 17th Street, Cordova Road, SE 16th Street, SE 10th Avenue, SE 15th Street and SE 11th Court.
Drivers should follow posted signs, drive with caution in the area and seek alternate routes if possible.
