Asphalt restoration was completed overnight, and westbound State Road 84 at Miami Road and the Port Everglades Bypass Road are now open. We appreciate the patience of our neighbors while this work was underway.

Final asphalt restoration will take place overnight tonight, Wednesday, December 10, between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.

Westbound State Road 84 at Miami Road and the Port Everglades Bypass Road are now open.

Update: Saturday, December 6 at 6:40 a.m.

The water main was repaired overnight and crews are in the process of restoring the area. A steel plate surrounded by temporary asphalt will be used to cover the work site so that crews can reopen the intersection.

Final asphalt restoration is scheduled for Wednesday, December 10.

City crews are responding to a water main break at State Road 84 and Miami Road in Harbordale.

While repairs are underway the following road closures are in effect:

• Westbound State Road 84 is closed at Miami Road.
• The Port Everglades Bypass Road is closed.
• Traffic is being detoured to SE 17th Street and US 1 / Federal Highway.

Drivers should follow posted signs, drive with caution in the area and seek alternate routes if possible.

Water service to nearby properties is not impacted.
