- Installing 43,000 feet of stormwater pipe
- Installing 360 drainage structures
- Installing a new stormwater pump station east of NE 20th Avenue & NE 7th Street
- Reconstructing swale areas
- Reconstructing driveways and sidewalks
- Restoring pavement
- Trimming trees
Construction is expected to begin on January 5, 2026, and be completed in early 2028. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
Traffic Impacts
- Lane closures and full road closures are expected along neighborhood streets during construction.
- Notices will be shared prior to the start of any full closures that require detours.
- Traffic control personnel and detour signs will direct traffic as needed.
- Access to driveways and homes will be maintained.
- Please follow posted signs and drive with caution in the area.
Thank you for your patience as we strive to upgrade our stormwater system as quickly as possible. Updates, including information on full road closures, will be shared throughout construction on the City’s website at ftlcity.info/vpnsip.
