The City of Fort Lauderdale is working with FG Construction to resurface the eastbound lanes of Davie Boulevard at SE 4th Avenue in Downtown Fort Lauderdale and Poinciana Park following the recent repair of a water main in the area. This project includes:

• Milling and resurfacing asphalt
• Applying new temporary pavement markings

Construction will begin overnight on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 9 p.m. and is expected to be completed on Monday, April 27, 2026, at 5 a.m. New permanent pavement markings will be applied during an overnight operation with temporary lane closures in approximately 30 days. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Traffic Impacts

• Both eastbound lanes of Davie Boulevard and the left turn lane in the middle of the roadway at SE 4th Avenue will be closed overnight during work hours. Traffic will be shifted to the north side of the road (westbound lanes) where one lane in each direction will remain open. 
  
• Northbound traffic on SE 4th Avenue approaching Davie Boulevard will be detoured to SE 12th Court, US 1 / S. Federal Highway, SE 13th Street and SE 3rd Avenue.
  
• Southbound traffic on SE 4th Avenue approaching Davie Boulevard will only be permitted to turn right toward westbound Davie Boulevard.
• Please follow posted signs and drive with caution in the area.
