The City of Fort Lauderdale iis working with FG Construction to resurface the westbound lanes of W. Sunrise Boulevard approaching NW 31st Avenue in unincorporated Broward County following the recent repair of a water main in the area. This project includes:

• Milling and resurfacing asphalt
• Applying new temporary pavement markings

Construction will begin overnight on Monday, April 27, 2026, at 9 p.m. and is expected to be completed on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 5 a.m. New permanent pavement markings will be applied during an overnight operation with temporary lane closures in approximately 30 days. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Traffic Impacts

• Two westbound lanes of W. Sunrise Boulevard between NW 28th Avenue and NW 31st Avenue will be closed overnight during work hours.
  
• One westbound lane of W. Sunrise Boulevard will remain open in the area.
  
• Access to driveways and turning lanes will be maintained.
• Please follow posted signs and drive with caution in the area.
