Fort Lauderdale City Hall | 100 N. Andrews Avenue

Neighbor Support Night, sponsored by the City of Fort Lauderdale and the Council of Fort Lauderdale Civic Associations (CFLCA), is a night dedicated to Fort Lauderdale's neighbors. The event provides an opportunity for neighbors to join together with their City to strengthen community ties, elevate public spirit, and build civic awareness in a fun, casual, exciting block party type of atmosphere.

We invite you to join us for an interactive, exciting event with fun for the entire family. Make sure to check this web page periodically as it will be updated as new activities and door prizes are announced.

Neighbors' Choice Award

Neighbor Support Night attendees will have the opportunity to select the winner of the annual "Neighbors' Choice" award, which is given to the City department or division that neighbors feel had the most interactive, informative, educational display. Attendees will receive a voting chip with their Passport from the CFLCA table. The "Neighbors' Choice" award winner will get a trophy and bragging rights for the entire year.

Past NSN Neighbors' Choice Award Winners

2019 - Department of Sustainable Development (DSD): The Department of Sustainable Development (DSD) worked tirelessly to create a fun and exciting Broadway experience. Neighbors walked down a red carpet, complete with spotlights, curtains, velvet ropes, show tunes, popcorn, New York street signs, and a faux marquee. The DSD team emphasized educating neighbors on the different divisions within the department and how they all work together. This was accomplished with a custom Playbill, descriptive table covers, personalized marquee, and every team member being on the same page. All of these elements came together to create a truly memorable experience.

2018 - Public Works-Sustainability: The Sustainability Division shared best practices through activities that included hosting an ever-popular residential free tree giveaway, encouraging neighbors to “pledge” to save water and energy with encouragement from Sammy Save-a-Lot, Broward County’s Conservation Pays mascot; teaching neighbors stormwater dos and donts through a Wheel of Fortune inspired game; and giving away more than $1,500 in “Green Bucks” won at the corn hole toss

2017 - Human Resources: The Human Resources Department actively engaged neighbors with face-to-face interaction, helped them explore job opportunities, and promoted the community programs the City supports, including KAPOW (Kids and the Power of Work) and the SYEP (Summer Youth Employment Program).
