Leading organizations committed to continuous improvement conduct surveys to target and improve neighbor satisfaction. The up-to-date and statistically valid data obtained through the Neighbor Surveys are important as we push forward implementing Fast Forward Fort Lauderdale 2035, Press Play Fort Lauderdale 2018, and the Commission Annual Action Plan. The survey results are also an important step in our Strategic Planning and Budget Cycle, informing the foundation for a strategic budget that reflects community priorities.
ETC Institute, a well-qualified third party, conducts the City of Fort Lauderdale Neighbor Surveys, ensuring households are randomly selected and representative of the four City Commission Districts and the 2010 Census demographics.
2018 Neighbor Survey Priorities
In order to help identify the top priorities, ETC Institute conducts an analysis to focus efforts on improving results that matter most to the community. This analysis examines the level of satisfaction and the importance that neighbors placed on each survey question in comparison to those within the same category. By identifying services of high importance and low satisfaction, the analysis helps identify which actions will have the most impact on overall satisfaction.
