The service clerk (records custodian) is responsible for the research and distribution of Fire-Rescue and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) reports for public information according to state statutes.
A field report for each incident is recorded in our record management database. For incidents in which medical (EMS) services are included, an additional incident record is included in our EMS database.
Each incident contains the incident type, time of call, location, dispatch time and arrival, responding apparatus. For each EMS incident, additional information is included which consist of patient name, billing information, and medical status which may include listing of vital signs taken by the paramedic.
Weekly and monthly reports are generated to review and analyze performance measures for internal and external stakeholders
