Your Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue Department (FLFR) strives to serve the residents and visitors of Fort Lauderdale with honor, courage, pride and integrity. Knowing our organization responds to over 50,000 emergencies annually with a workforce of over 500 employees, we believe it is imperative to take measures and ensure we are meeting our department mission of PRIDE. The Professional Standards Bureau was developed to ensure we reach this objective and continue to provide an elite level of emergency services on land and water.
The Bureau is staffed by Battalion Chief Garrett Pingol whose goal is to manage and provide a standardized and objective approach to the following programs:

- Internal concerns and complaints
- Objective Driven Quality Assurance
- Employee Career Development
- Organizational Succession Planning
