Fire Stations
The City of Fort Lauderdale runs the largest and busiest Municipal fire-rescue department in Broward County. In, 2014 the department responded to more than 48,000 calls for emergency service. The City operates 11 stations throughout Fort Lauderdale, including one in Wilton Manors. Many of the 382 sworn firefighters in the department are trained to provide emergency medical services and are part of specialized teams, such as Technical Rescue, Hazardous Materials, and Dive Rescue.
