All persons interested in employment with the City of Fort Lauderdale must complete an online application through the City’s online hiring system called NEOGOV that works in conjunction with GovernmentJobs.com. PAPER APPLICATIONS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.
The City of Fort Lauderdale encourages newly hired employees to accept payment by direct deposit. All new hires will be asked to designate a financial institution where they would like their payroll checks to be directly deposited.

Student Loan Forgiveness

That’s right! Under the U.S. Department of Education’s Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program, the remaining balance on your student loan may be forgiven after you have made 120 qualifying monthly payments while working full-time at the City of Fort Lauderdale!
