The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. As a result, federal, state, and local governments and federal and state health agencies recommend social distancing and have, in many locations, prohibited the congregation of groups of people.
The City of Fort Lauderdale (COFL) has created new protocols and put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however, COFL cannot guarantee that you or your child(ren) will not become infected with COVID-19. Further, attending any program may increase your child(ren) risk of contracting COVID-19.
Day of Registration
1. Prior to the parent entering the building, they must have a mask and pass the temperature/visual screening. Temperature will be taken, if temperature is higher than 99.0 they will not be allowed to enter the building and register at that time. They will have 24 hours to come back without a fever or send a designated person to complete the registration process with payment. If they refuse to have their temperature taken, they cannot register for camp. If they pass the screening, they will enter one at a time with mask.
2. Parents that shows up with spouse, children, and/or other family members, will be required to be screened (CDC guideline) prior to being permitted to enter the building. There will be a designated seating area for those not completing the registration process and payment. The area will be sanitized upon them leaving.
3. Parents can swipe their card individually if possible, if not the clerk will wear gloves and sanitize the gloves in between customers and in front of the next customer.
GRADES 1 - 5: Report cards are required at time of registration for grade verification. Birth certificates are required for 6-year-olds. Must be age 6 by June 15, 2020. Parents will not be permitted to register without proper documentation.

WHEN can I register?
Registration will close when the camp is full. Registration is offered on a first come, first served basis. Many of our programs fill quickly, so register early to secure your spot!
Report cards are required at time of registration for grade verification. Birth certificates are required for 6-year-olds. Campers must be age 6 by June 15, 2020. Parents will not be permitted to register without proper documentation. Proof of grade and age must be submitted to the camp or registration site at time of registration. Failure to submit a birth certificate (children entering first grade for the 2020-21 school year) and report cards (children entering grades 1-12 for 2020-21 school year) will result in automatic withdrawal from camp and forfeiture of your camp space.
WHERE can I register?
In-Person – Registration must be done in person. All camp locations will be accepting registrations for their own camp programs, excluding camp at Riverside Park and the Speed & Agility Camp at Mills Pond Park. To register for camp at Riverside Park, please do so at Holiday Park located at 1150 G. Harold Martin Drive. For the Speed & Agility Camp, please register at Carter Park located at 1450 W. Sunrise Boulevard. Registrations for other camp locations will also be accepted at Holiday Park.
HOW do I register?
Camp Registration Forms - Registration forms are available at each of the community camp centers. Please fill out the registration
form completely including emergency phone numbers, pick-up contacts, and medical or behavioral needs.
Residency - Proof of residency is required at the time of registration. Acceptable documents include residential water bill, voter registration card, FPL bill, lease agreement or property tax bill.
Camp Fees - All camp fees are due and payable at the time of registration. Payment method must be American Express, MasterCard, or Visa only. Cash payment and checks made payable to the City of Fort Lauderdale must be made at Parks
and Recreation Administration in Holiday Park, 1150 G. Harold Martin Drive.
DO we qualify for a scholarship?
The Youth Enrichment Scholarship (Y.E.S.) is available to City of Fort Lauderdale residents. Applicants must bring proof that the child is currently on the School Board’s free or reduced lunch program and proof of City residency.
