A Great Value for City Residents!

Frequent beachgoers will enjoy the value of permit parking and easier access to the beach with an annual Residential Beach Parking Permit.  With this permit, Fort Lauderdale residents are able to park free at Fort Lauderdale Beach Park (formerly known as South Beach), North Beach, and the Las Olas Intracoastal Lot (E-Lot). (Residential Beach Parking Permit is not valid for use during special events.)

  • The price of the Residential Beach Parking Permit is $24 per year. Apply Online Now
  • The permit may be purchased online (MasterCard or Visa only) or in person at the Transportation and Mobility Department, located at 290 N.E. 3rd Avenue. Weekday hours are 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m., with extended hours on Thursdays until 5:30 p.m.
  • Proof of Fort Lauderdale residency is required to purchase a permit. For new permit applications, the following two documents with the same name and address are required: 
    • a current vehicle registration,
    • a current Florida driver's license

Sun Trolley: Just Wave and Ride

For weekends and late nights, the Sun Trolley can be hailed just like a cab. Regular service is available throughout the day for $1 per trip or $3 per day. Schedules are available at www.SunTrolley.com or call 954-761-3543.
