The Las Olas Boulevard Six-Month Safety Improvements Demonstration Project was installed on January 1, 2018, as part of an overall Community Investment Plan. This project also includes safety and traffic-calming improvements within the Colee Hammock neighborhood and along S.E. 15th Avenue between Broward Boulevard and Las Olas Boulevard.
The traffic safety principles of Vision Zero influenced the design of this project. Additionally, feedback from neighbors and business owners led to the implementation of the UPS eBike initiative, the designated loading and unloading zones initiative, and the designated rideshare zones initiative. Since the installation of the project, the City has posted educational signs along Las Olas Boulevard, included project information on the City's website, and created informational videos to educate all users about the temporary roadway configuration.
Project Survey: Please Tell Us What You Think
Please take a few minutes to complete a short survey to provide your feedback on the Las Olas Boulevard Six-month Safety Improvements Demonstration Project. Your responses will help inform and evaluate the project's effectiveness.
Please complete only one of the two surveys. If you are a business owner, tenant, or an employee that is located or works on Las Olas Boulevard, please click on "Las Olas Businesses Only" to complete the business survey. Everyone else should click on "General Survey."
The deadline to complete the survey is Friday, May 25, 2018, at 5 p.m.
A project evaluation report will be presented to the City Commission on July 10, 2018 so the City's elected officials may consider whether permanent improvements will be made to Las Olas Boulevard. The evaluation report will include the survey results and other data used to evaluate the project.
