Public Comments

The public is invited to submit comments on any agenda items to EducationAdvisoryBoard@fortlauderdale.gov

  • Comments must be submitted no later than 48 hours prior to the start of a meeting.
  • Keep in mind that your e-mail address, comments, and other information will become part of the official public record, as required by Florida law. If you do not want your personal information included in the official record, do not proceed.

The Purpose and Duties of the Education Advisory Board:

To advise the City Commission on issues relating to educational matters which will impact the quality of education for City residents, or which will impact education facilities located within the City.

In making appointments to this board, consideration should be given to seeking representatives from the following:

1. The business community.

2. Parent Teacher Student Organization/Parent Teacher Association.

3. Civic Association(s).

4. Broward County School Board.

5. The Public School System.

6. The Private School System.

7. The Post Secondary Education System.
