Public Comments

The public is invited to submit comments on any agenda items to Fire-rescueadvisorycommittee@fortlauderdale.gov

  • Comments must be submitted no later than 48 hours prior to the start of a meeting.
  • Keep in mind that your e-mail address, comments, and other information will become part of the official public record, as required by Florida law. If you do not want your personal information included in the official record, do not proceed.

The Purpose of the Fire-Rescue Advisory Committee:

To provide the City Commission of the City of Fort Lauderdale community driven feedback to forecast and support public safety as well as future planning for the Fire Rescue Department's growth and review industry standards and Department performance measures.

This committee shall consist of five (5) members to include the following:

A. One (1) retired Firefighter/Emergency Medical Services liaison appointee as long as he/she resides or works within the City of Fort Lauderdale boundaries.

B. One (1) pre-hospital or Emergency Medical Services medical liaison appointee as long as he/she resides or works within the City of Fort Lauderdale boundaries.
