The HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) is a type of United States federal assistance provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Department (HUD) to municipalities in order to provide decent and affordable housing, particular housing for low- and very low-income persons.
Assistance to eligible homeowners throughout the City to bring the homes up to standard condition, eliminate code violations and provide save and affordable housing. Rehabilitation assistance will be provided in the form of 0% interest deferred loans.
This program assists eligible first-time home buyers with a deferred payment loan to be applied towards down payment, closing cost and/or principal reduction for the purchase of eligible housing within the City limits, including single family homes, townhouses, condominiums or villas. Applications may be obtained from one of the following non-profit agencies:
The program provides a one-time award of up to $15,000 to eligible very low- to moderate-income homeowners. Funds may only be used for emergency-related repairs, including but not limited to the replacement of air conditioning units and/or hot water heaters. This program is to preserve the habitability of housing units and ensure compliance with safe and sanitary living standards.
