Are you buying or renovating a property? The City keeps records of all permits and plans on any property, so that buyers and owners may be informed of a building's full history. The Property Records Office maintains digital and microfilm records of building permits and plans for properties in Fort Lauderdale.

Before making a request, you should confirm that your property is in Fort Lauderdale. Please visit the Broward County Property Appraiser (BCPA) to confirm your property address and/or folio.

Microfilm can be viewed and copied between 8:00 am. and 3:00 pm. Neighbors may submit digital records requests to PropertyRecords@fortlauderdale.gov. (Please note that some requests might require an in-person visit.)
