NOTE:  Application deadlines are in parentheses below the meeting dates and all required documents are due on the date of the deadline.  The complete application submittal is due one month prior to the actual meeting date.

Purpose

The purpose of the Board of Adjustment (BOA) is to hear applications for temporary nonconforming use permits, special exceptions, and variances to the terms of the Unified Land Development Regulations (ULDR), and grant relief where authorized under the ULDR. The board of adjustment shall also hear, determine, and decide appeals from reviewable interpretations, applications or determinations made by an administrative official in the enforcement of the ULDR, as provided herein.

BOA meetings are usually held on the Second Wednesday of each month at 6:00 P.M. in the Development Services Department (Lobby), 700 N.W. 19th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33311, until further notice.

Important Dates

Meeting Date: Second Wednesday of every month

Sign Affidavit Due Date: Five (5) days before a meeting

Public Sign Notification Deadline: 15 days before a meeting
