Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue is committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and operational efficiency, ensuring consistent, top-tier service for the community and surrounding municipalities. Through its partnership with the Center for Public Safety Excellence’s Technical Advisory Program, the agency systematically documents and advances its progress by developing a Community-Driven Strategic Plan and implementing robust Community Risk and Standards of Cover frameworks.

Originally accredited on August 26, 2015, Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue has successfully maintained its accreditation status across all agencies. The department remains dedicated to continuous improvement by regularly reporting to the Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI), demonstrating its ongoing pursuit of excellence in public safety and service delivery.

 


Community Risk and Standards of Cover: Risk Standards and Performance Benchmarks - New 2025 Version

The Standards of Cover (SOC) outlines the standards for risk and risk mitigation across the community and sets the stage for how our rescue and fire engine units respond to emergency calls. The SOC also sets the benchmarks to measure the performance of our units across the agency.

The new 2025-2030 Strategic Plan for Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue

The Strategic Plan outlines the goals and direction of the agency. Concerns of the community for internal and external stakeholders.
