Fort Lauderdale residents are required to register in advance for the Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off Event. Visitors from the partnering cities including Coconut Creek, Coral Springs, Lauderdale Lakes, Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, Pompano Beach, and Tamarac are also encouraged to register for the event. Proof of residence required (Driver's license, tax bill, trim notice, or utility bill).

The event will be held on November 22, 2025, at Mills Pond Park - 2201 NW 9th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33311. The event is open 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

 

Reminder, Curbside Electronics are collected on each recycling service day. Visit Curbside Electronics Page to submit a request.

Attendees may experience significant wait times during this event due to the number of residents expected to attend.

No explosives, ammunition, trash, debris, appliances, tires, or sharps will be accepted.

No commercial trucks or trailers transporting commercial waste will be allowed.

Eligible residents should use use the curbside electronics collection program. Visit www.fortlauderdale.gov/epickup to schedule a pick-up.

Materials for drop-off will only be collected from trunks and the bed of trucks.

Paint can be disposed of at home. Remove the lid and let the paint dry out. Add kitty litter, newspaper or sand to speed up drying process. Once hard, it can go in the trash.

The event may be cancelled or end early in the event of inclement weather.

Containers may not exceed five gallons; limit 25 gallons per visit.
