Spring Break 2026 in Fort Lauderdale

Welcome, Spring Breakers! We’re excited to have you. We want you to enjoy everything that Fort Lauderdale has to offer. But we’re setting a few ground rules to make sure this Spring Break season is enjoyable for everyone.

Restrictions:

The City of Fort Lauderdale is taking extra precautions in anticipation of the influx of beachgoers this season. Effective February 28 through March 31, 2026, the following will be prohibited in the following areas (High Impact Zones):

Barrier Island

  • No inflatable devices
  • No tents, tables or similar structures
  • No live or amplified music
  • No alcohol, except from approved hotel vendors

The following additional measures could be enacted during the High Impact period.

  • A curfew for minors (under age 18)
  • Suspension of sidewalk cafe permits
  • Modification of operating hours for parks and city facilities

Boundaries: The barrier island high impact zone is bounded by Sunrise Boulevard to the north, by the Atlantic Ocean to the east, by Holiday Drive to the south, and by the westernmost bank of the intracoastal waterway to the west.

Downtown

  • A curfew will be in effect in the designated area from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. restricting access for minors (under age 18) without the supervision of a parent or guardian to the designated High Impact area.
  • No coolers
  • Suspension of sidewalk cafe permits
  • Modification of operating hours for parks and city facilities

Boundaries: The downtown high impact zone is bounded by Broward Boulevard to the north, by Andrews Avenue to the east, by the southernmost bank of the New River to the south, and by Southwest 7 Avenue to the west.
