  2. Log In or Register: You'll need to either log into your existing account or create a new guest account.
  3. Enter Citation Details: Navigate to the "Citations" section, enter your citation number, or your state and license plate number, then click "Search Citations."
  4. Start the Appeal: Click on "Appeal," re-enter your plate number, and confirm.
  5. Provide Details: On the appeal details page, fill in your email address and cell phone number. Clearly explain why you think the citation was issued in error.
  6. Attach Documents: Upload a copy of the citation and any supporting documents.
  7. Submit Your Appeal: Click "Submit" to finalize the appeal. Your appeal will be reviewed within 30 days, and you'll be notified of the decision. If accepted, the citation will be dismissed. If denied, you will receive written notice, and the original fines and payment requirements will apply.
  8. Further Appeals: If your initial appeal is denied, you may opt for a Tier Two appeal. If you choose not to proceed, the decision from the Tier One appeal is final.

How to Request a Tier Two Appeal

  1. Complete the Form: Complete the Tier Two Appeal form within 10 calendar days from the date the Tier One decision was made. Original signatures are required.
  2. Submit the Form: Completed forms can be mailed or hand-delivered to the Parking Service Office, located at 290 NE 3rd Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301. All mailed Tier Two Appeal forms must be postmarked within the allotted submittal deadline to be accepted.
  3. Clerk of Court Processing: The office will forward your form to the Broward County Clerk of Court, who will assign a reference number to your citation.
  4. Next Steps: Once you receive your Broward County reference number, address all further concerns, payments, and inquiries directly to the Clerk of Courts Parking Division at 201 SE 6th Street, Room 01140, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301, or call 954-831-5804.

ADA Parking

Valid Handicap Parking Permits & License Tags

Handicap Parking Permits and license plates must be properly displayed (with expiration date visible) and only used when the vehicle is transporting the person to whom the permit is issued. If the permit holder is not exiting the vehicle, then the permit may not be used.

On-Street Metered Parking

On-street metered parking involves parking your vehicle along the curb. Under Florida State Statute 316.1964, vehicles displaying a valid disabled parking permit or license plate can park for free for up to four hours in any on-street metered space, unless restricted by signage (e.g., a three-hour limit).

Surface Lots & Garage Parking

All drivers are required to pay in the City's public parking garages and surface lots. However, vehicles with specialized equipment like ramps, lifts, or foot/hand controls, or those displaying a Florida Toll Exemption Permit or a Disabled Veteran "DV" license plate, may park for free for up to four hours. This free parking is applicable in designated handicap spaces or any space if no handicap space is available.
