The Urban Core Mobility Plan was initiated at the request of the City Commission to evaluate transportation in the urban core to create a multimodal neighborhood that allows residents and visitors alike to get around without relying on a vehicle. The main objective of the plan is to identify overlapping work and the gaps that remain unaddressed without duplicating previous studies to be able to address. This initiative builds on past and ongoing planning and engineering efforts. 

The result will be a set of scalable projects suited to a range of budgets and timelines, each developed in collaboration with key stakeholders and the public to ensure outcomes reflect the needs and expectations of everyone traveling through Downtown Fort Lauderdale.
