Andrews Avenue Asphalt Improvement Project

The City of Fort Lauderdale is working with FG Construction to resurface portions of N. Andrews Avenue at NW/NE 4th Street, NW/NE 5th Street and NW/NE 6th Street in Flagler Village. This project includes:

  • Milling and resurfacing asphalt
  • Applying new pavement markings

Construction will take place overnight between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22 and Thursday, July 23, 2026 (concluding Friday morning, July 24). This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

What to Expect
  • Intermittent noise: Neighbors should expect noise from heavy machinery, equipment and backup safety alarms.
  • Temporary lighting: Lights will be used to illuminate the work area.
  • Safety: Please follow all posted signs and use caution.

Traffic & Parking Impacts

  • On-Street Parking: Neighbors are asked to refrain from parking along N. Andrews Avenue between NW/NE 4th Street and NW/NE 6th Street.
  • Lane Closures: One lane in each direction of N. Andrews Avenue will be closed between NW/NE 4th Street and NW/NE 6th Street.
  • Driveway Access: Maintained unless active resurfacing occurs directly opposite a driveway, in which case crews will coordinate locally beforehand.
