Grace Drive Stormwater Improvements Project

Published on June 30, 2026

The City of Fort Lauderdale and David Mancini & Sons, Inc. are making improvements to the stormwater system along the northern shoulder of Grace Drive in Harbour Inlet. This project includes:

  • Replacing an existing catch basin
  • Installing a new tidal valve
  • Restoring impacted landscaping

Construction will begin on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, and is expected to be completed by Friday, August 7, 2026. Work will take place Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

What to Expect

  • Intermittent noise: Neighbors should expect noise from heavy machinery, equipment and backup safety alarms during working hours.

Traffic Impacts

  • The westbound lane of Grace Drive west of S. Ocean Drive may be closed daily during work hours.
  • Traffic control personnel will direct traffic as needed.
  • Access to driveways will be maintained unless work is taking place in the immediate area across from the driveway. Crews will attempt to coordinate with neighbors prior to the start of operations that will impact driveway access.
  • Please follow posted signs and drive with caution in the area.

We apologize in advance for any inconvenience and thank our neighbors for their patience during construction.
