Higher tides are predicted over the coming days due to king tides. Other factors such as wind, currents, sea level rise and rain before or during peak tide times will worsen tidal flooding and ponding on roadways.

Peak Tides:

  • Thu. 11/5 – 5 AM & 5:15 PM
  • Fri. 11/6 – 6 AM & 6 PM
  • Sat. 11/7 – 6:45 AM & 6:45 PM
  • Sun. 11/8– 7:15 AM & 7:30 PM
  • Mon. 11/9 – 8 AM & 8 PM
  • Tue. 11/10 – 8:45 AM & 8:45 PM
  • Wed. 11/11 – 9:15 AM & 9:15 PM

Drive With Caution: Road closures due to tidal flooding are possible on these days. Avoid driving through standing water, and drive slowly to avoid creating a wake that could push water closer to nearby properties.

Protect Your Property: Neighbors in areas typically impacted by vehicle wakes should take precautions to protect their homes from water intrusion, such as placing sandbags at entry points and elevating vulnerable belongings.

Secure Waste Carts: If your street is prone to flooding, please secure your waste carts rather than placing them at the curb to prevent them from tipping, filling with water or floating into roadways. If you do set carts out for service, secure them promptly following collection.
