Holiday Drive Asphalt Improvement Project

The City of Fort Lauderdale is working with FG Construction to resurface a portion of Holiday Drive east of Seabreeze Boulevard following recent work on a water main in the area. This project includes:

• Milling and resurfacing asphalt
• Applying temporary pavement markings

Traffic Impacts

• Road Closure & Detour: Holiday Drive will be open to local traffic only during work hours. Traffic control personnel will direct traffic.
• Driveway Access: Maintained unless active resurfacing occurs directly opposite a driveway, in which case crews will coordinate locally beforehand.

Schedule & Hours

• Timeline: Wednesday, August 26 and Thursday, August 27, 2026
• Hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Upcoming Work: Permanent pavement markings will be applied with temporary lane closures in approximately 30 days.
• This schedule is subject to change due to weather or unforeseen conditions.

What to Expect

• Intermittent noise: Heavy machinery, equipment and backup safety alarm noise.
• Safety: Please use caution, drive slowly and follow all posted signs.
