After a day on the water, protect our local marine ecosystems by practicing clean boating habits:

  • Use onshore pumpout facilities and waste dump receptacles to prevent sewage discharge into local waters.
  • Never discharge untreated sewage into U.S. territorial waters, and do not discharge untreated or treated sewage while moored at a marina.
  • Use and maintain marine sanitation devices (MSDs) according to manufacturer instructions.
  • Use land-based facilities for restrooms and showers whenever possible.

Coming Soon: Mobile Sewage Pumpout Vessel

The City will soon launch a free, on-demand mobile pumpout boat. Funded by a Clean Vessel Act grant through the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), this service will make emptying waste holding tanks even easier for local boaters. Once the program launches, boaters will be able to request service using the City’s FixIt FTL app. Stay tuned for updates on when the service becomes available.
