NE 49th Stormwater Improvements Project

The City of Fort Lauderdale and David Mancini & Sons, Inc. are making improvements to the stormwater system along NE 49th Street east of Bayview Drive in Coral Ridge Country Club Estates. The work includes:

• Replacing an existing outfall pipe
• Restoring impacted landscaping

Schedule & Hours

• Timeline: Monday, August 3, 2026 – Friday, August 31, 2026
• Hours: Mon. – Fri., 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Note: Schedule is subject to change due to weather or unforeseen conditions.

What to Expect 

• Intermittent noise: Neighbors should expect noise from heavy machinery, equipment and backup safety alarms.
• Dusty conditions: Digging will be required to replace the outfall pipe, which may create dust around the work site.

Traffic Impacts

• Lane Closures: The eastbound lane of NE 49th Street between Bayview Drive and E. Commercial Boulevard may be closed daily during work hours.
• Driveways: Access will be maintained unless active construction is occurring directly opposite a driveway, in which case crews will coordinate locally beforehand.
• Safety: Traffic control personnel will direct traffic near the work area. Please follow posted signs and drive with caution.
