NW 23rd Avenue Sewer Lateral Repair Project

The City of Fort Lauderdale and Southern Underground Industries are making repairs to the sewer system at 1123 NW 23rd Avenue in Dillard Park. This project includes:

• Repairing a sewer lateral line
• Restoring impacted asphalt and landscaping

Traffic Impacts

• NW 23rd Avenue: The southbound lane of NW 23rd Avenue will be closed between NW 12th Court and Panther Lane daily during work hours. Traffic control personnel will direct traffic as needed.
• Driveways: Access will be maintained unless active construction is occurring directly opposite a driveway, in which case crews will coordinate locally beforehand. 
• Safety: Please follow posted signs and use caution. 

Schedule & Hours

• Timeline: Monday, October 19 – Friday, November 13, 2026
• Hours: Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
• Note: Schedule is subject to change due to weather or unforeseen conditions.

What to Expect

• Noise: Expect intermittent noise from heavy machinery, equipment and backup safety alarms.
• Dust: Water trucks will be used on-site to minimize airborne dust.
