Precautionary Waterway Advisory Lifted for the Las Olas Isles and a Portion of the New River

June 14, 2026 – Effective immediately, the City of Fort Lauderdale is lifting the precautionary advisory for water-related recreational activities within the following boundaries:

  • North: Sunrise Key Boulevard
  • South: SE 7th Street
  • West: N. Gordon Road, S. Gordon Road and Isle of Capri
  • East: Isle of Venice and Lido Drive

The precautionary advisory was issued on Saturday, June 13, 2026, following a wastewater discharge into the stormwater system and waterway on Lido Drive. Water sampling in the affected area has demonstrated that the waterway meets the State’s surface water quality standards.
