SW 14th Street Sewer Lateral Repair Project

The City of Fort Lauderdale and Southern Underground Industries are making repairs to the sewer system at 836 SW 14th Street in Croissant Park. This project includes:

• Repairing a sewer lateral line
• Restoring impacted asphalt and landscaping

Traffic Impacts

The following will be in effect 24 hours a day until construction is completed: 

• SW 14th Street: Open to local traffic only between SW 9th Avenue and SW 8th Avenue.
• Detours: Through traffic will be detoured to SW 9th Avenue, Davie Boulevard, SW 4th Avenue, and SW 14th Court.
• Driveways: Access will be maintained unless active construction is occurring directly opposite a driveway, in which case crews will coordinate locally beforehand. 
• Safety: Please follow posted signs and use caution. 

Schedule & Hours

• Timeline: Tuesday, October 13 – Friday, November 6, 2026
• Hours: Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
• Note: Schedule is subject to change due to weather or unforeseen conditions.

What to Expect

• Noise: Expect intermittent noise from heavy machinery, equipment and backup safety alarms.
• Dust: Water trucks will be used on-site to minimize airborne dust.
