Repair efforts are ongoing in the area and are expected to continue throughout the day and overnight. Restoration is expected to take place on Friday, August 21.
Traffic Shift Schedule
Thursday, August 20 | 1:30-4 p.m.
Traffic control personnel will assist drivers along Miami Road and SE 15th Street to accommodate school traffic in the area. Please drive with caution.
- Miami Road: One lane will be open between SE 15th Street and SE 14th Court.
- SE 15th Street: One lane will be open across the Miami Road intersection.
Thursday, August 20 at 4 p.m. - Friday, August 21 at 6 a.m.
- Miami Road: Open to local traffic only between SE 15th Street and SE 14th Court.
- SE 15th Street: Miami Road Intersection closed. Open to local traffic only between US 1 / Federal Highway and Miami Road and between Miami Road and SE 10th Avenue.
- Detour: SE 14th Court, US 1 / Federal Highway, SE 16th Street and SE 10th Avenue.

The City of Fort Lauderdale and Southern Underground Industries are responding to an emergency sewer system repair at Miami Road and SE 15th Street in Harbordale. This project includes:
- Repairing a damaged gravity sewer main
- Restoring impacted asphalt
Traffic Impacts
- Road Closure: Miami Road is open to local traffic only between SE 15th Street and SE 14th Court.
- Detour: SE 14th Court, US 1 / Federal Highway and SE 15th Street.
- Driveway Access: Maintained unless active construction occurs directly opposite a driveway, in which case crews will coordinate locally beforehand.

- Hours: Around the clock until completion
- This schedule is subject to change due to weather or unforeseen conditions.
