Project Overview

The City of Fort Lauderdale is planning safety and mobility improvements in the Shady Banks and Tarpon River neighborhoods as part of the Neighborhood Mobility Master Plan. The project is being delivered in partnership with the Florida Department of Transportation through the Local Agency Program.

The planned improvements are intended to enhance safety, accessibility, and neighborhood connectivity for people walking, biking, and driving throughout the project area.

Shady Banks

  • Pedestrian lighting
  • Raised intersections
  • Bulb out
  • Bicycle/pedestrian connection

Tarpon River

  • New sidewalks
  • Pedestrian lighting
  • Mini roundabout
  • Raised intersection

Public Meeting

Residents are invited to attend a hybrid public meeting to learn more about the proposed improvements and ask questions about the project.
