East Las Olas Blvd Bridge Closure and Traffic Shift
Please be advised that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will fully close the East Las Olas Boulevard Bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway for 48 hours to implement a traffic shift as part of the ongoing bridge rehabilitation project.
Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 8 p.m. – Thursday, Sept. 24, at 8 p.m.
The bridge will be closed to vehicles, pedestrians and bicyclists. No traffic will be permitted to cross the bridge during the closure.
Local access to residents and businesses will be maintained on both sides of the bridge.
Emergency services will not be affected. Marine traffic will not be impacted.
Beginning Thursday, Sept. 24, at 8 p.m.
Upon reopening, the north side of the bridge will close and all traffic will shift to the south side. One lane will remain open in each direction.
Pedestrian and bicyclist access will remain open on the south side of the bridge. The sidewalk on the north side will be closed.
This traffic change will remain in place through late 2026.
Drivers should use caution, follow posted signs and expect delays. This schedule is subject to change due to weather or unforeseen conditions.
