Please be advised that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will close the south side of the Sunrise Boulevard Bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway as part of the ongoing roadway and bridge rehabilitation project.
Beginning Thursday, Sept. 3, at 8 a.m.
The south side of the bridge, which currently carries eastbound traffic, will close through early 2027. All traffic will shift to the north side of the bridge, with two lanes open in each direction.
Left turns from westbound Sunrise Boulevard onto southbound NE 26th Avenue will be prohibited during this traffic change.
Marine Impacts
The drawbridge will not open for marine traffic from Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 8 a.m. through Thursday, Sept. 3, at 8 a.m.
Drivers should use caution and follow posted signs.
