The City of Fort Lauderdale is launching a new Certificate of Use (CU) Program. All new businesses must obtain a CU before applying for a Business Tax Receipt (BTR). Existing businesses must also obtain a CU when changing ownership, relocating, modifying operations or space, or addressing a notice violation.
