E. Las Olas Boulevard Stormwater Improvements Project

The City of Fort Lauderdale and David Mancini & Sons, Inc. are making improvements to the stormwater system at the northeast corner of E. Las Olas Boulevard and SE 15th Avenue in Colee Hammock. This project includes:

• Modifying a drainage structure
• Replacing damaged sidewalk

Construction will begin on July 27, 2026, and is expected to be completed by Friday, July 31, 2026. Work will take place Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

What to Expect

• Intermittent noise: Neighbors should expect noise from heavy machinery, equipment and backup safety alarms during working hours.

Traffic & Pedestrian Impacts

The following closures will remain in effect 24 hours a day until construction is completed:

• One westbound lane of E. Las Olas Blvd. between SE 16th Ave. and SE 15th Ave.
• Northbound SE 15th Ave. north of E. Las Olas Blvd.
  • Detour: SE 16th Ave., SE 13th Ave. and SE 2nd Ct.

• Turn lanes from both directions of E. Las Olas Blvd. to SE 15th Ave.
• Sidewalk at the northeast corner of E. Las Olas Blvd. and SE 15th Ave.
