The City of Fort Lauderdale is powering up its commitment to sustainable transportation with the launch of its new electric vehicle (EV) charging program! With a network of charging stations located throughout the city, residents and visitors can now charge their EVs wherever it's convenient.

The program offers three flexible payment options to suit individual preferences. A four-hour charging limit applies to all options.
- Users can pay hourly using the ParkMobile app, making it easy to manage charging sessions on the fly.
- Drivers can opt for a monthly EV permit, providing access to all city-owned or operated charging stations.
- At certain parking garages, those who have already purchased a regular parking permit have full access to the EV charging stations within that garage.
Rates & Fees
$5 per hour through the ParkMobile app. There is a four-hour charging limit per parking session.
Payment
All parking payments for EV charging stations can be made through the ParkMobile app. The ParkMobile app is available for Android and iOS, or you can login through their ParkMobile website.
Permits
For $50 per month, drivers can purchase a monthly EV charging station permit valid at all city-owned or operated charging stations. The EV charging stations permit is a digital permit that applies to the specific vehicle that is registered at the time of purchase. Permits can be purchased through the City's Parking Permit Portal.

Can I use my Resident Parking Rate discount at an EV charging station when paying to park?
No, the EV charging stations will always be a flat rate of $5 per hour through the ParkMobile app.

I bought a monthly EV Chargin station permit. Is there a permit I need to display on my vehicle?
No, the EV charging station permit is completely digital and will be assigned to the license plate number of the vehicle registered when the permit is purchased.
Can I leave my vehicle parked in the EV charging station space after the four hours if it is no longer charging?
No, the vehicle must be moved after the four hours to accommodate others who may need to use the service.
Can I use my existing monthly parking permit to park in an EV charging station parking space?

What kind of vehicles can use the charging stations?
The EV charging stations use universal chargers, which are applicable to most electric vehicle models.
How long can I leave my vehicle parked while charging at the EV station?
A vehicle can be actively paid to park and charge at the station for up to four hours maximum.
