The below documents outline the specifications, responsibilities, and permit requirements for Utility Franchise Permits for Gas, Electric, Fiber/Telecommunication, Small Cell/5G Towers, within the public right-of-way, under the jurisdiction of the City of Fort Lauderdale.

Minimum Submittal Requirements

• Site Plan: PDF, legible, 300 DPI minimum if scanned

• ROW_Franchise_Utility_Permit_Application.pdf(PDF, 8MB) with Dewatering Affidavit

Informational Requirements

• Only City-Registered UAOs and Contractors may apply.
• Utility Company (UAO) Letter of Authorization (LOA) is required. - This document must state that the individual(s) signing is authorized to execute on behalf of the entity.

• UAO entity must register via email to DEngineeringAdmin@fortlauderdale.gov - refer to guide above
• UAO's CONTRACTORS must register as a Licensed Professional through LauderBuild
• Applications are processed first-come, first-served
