Board of Adjustment (BOA)
The purpose of the Board of Adjustment (BOA) is to review applications for temporary nonconforming use permits, special exceptions, and variances to the Unified Land Development Regulations (ULDR). The BOA has the authority to grant relief when permitted under the ULDR. Additionally, the board reviews and decides on appeals related to interpretations, applications, or decisions made by administrative officials in enforcing the ULDR.
To have your application considered at a BOA meeting, please submit a complete BOA Application(PDF, 991KB) package. All required documents are due by the date of the deadline noted for each meeting. The final completed application is due one month prior to the actual meeting date.

Key Dates
Meeting Date: Second Wednesday of every month. BOA meetings are typically held on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:00 PM in the Development Services Department lobby, located at 700 NW 19th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33311. Meetings will continue at this location until further notice.
Sign Affidavit Due Date: Five (5) days before a meeting.
Public Sign Notification Deadline: 15 days before a meeting.

All applications must be completed and submitted by 5:00 PM on the Application Deadline date.
